Rely on an ESC-qualified growth factor
LIF bioactivity is typically measured by observing its ability to induce differentiation of murine M1 myeloid leukemia cells. In addition to this standard assay, each lot of ESC-qualified mouse LIF is tested for its ability to maintain Oct4 expression in mouse PSCs, thus helping to ensure robust performance for mouse PSC culture.

Unlike bacteria-derived recombinant proteins which may carry over harmful bacterial endotoxins, ESC-qualified mouse LIF is derived from plant tissue. It is verified to contain less than 0.005 ng/µg of endotoxin, more than ten times lower than most bacteria-derived counterparts. This unique, low-endotoxin LIF supports the optimal conditions for safeguarding the health and quality of your mouse PSC culture.
Culture with confidence with a rigorously tested reagent
ESC-qualified mouse LIF is tested for bacteria and mycoplasma to minimize the risk of contamination. It is analyzed by SDS-PAGE to ensure >95% purity. It is also tested for pyrogenic and pro-inflammatory contaminants via monocyte activation test.
