Description
Triphenylborane is used as a precursor in the production of pyridine-triphenylborane complex, which is used as a catalyst for the polymerization of acrylic esters. It is also used in the hydrocyanation of butadiene to adiponitrile. It is involved in the synthesis of 3-phenyl-cyclohexene by reacting with acetic acid cyclohex-2-enyl ester in presence of palladium bis(dibenzylideneacetone) and triphenylphosphine as a catalyst.
