Description
It is used in the naphthoresorcinol test for uronic acids of Tollens and Rorive, a blue color can be extracted with ethanol after heating of uronic acids with naphthoresorcinol in hydrochloric acid. It is also employed as a reagent for various medical tests. It can also be used as a spot test reagent for glycerate.

Il est utilisé dans le test de naphthoresorcinol pour les acides uroniques de Tollens et de Rorive. Une couleur bleue peut être extraite avec de l’éthanol après le chauffage d’acides uroniques avec du naphthoresorcinol dans de l’acide chlorhydrique. Il est également employé comme réactif pour divers tests médicaux. Il peut aussi servir de réactif de test ponctuel pour le glycérate.

Remarques
Sensible à la lumière. Conserver à l’écart des agents oxydants et des bases. Conserver le récipient bien fermé dans un endroit frais, sec et bien ventilé.
