1,5-Diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-ene is employed for dehydrohalogenation reactions and base-catalyzed rearrangements in organic synthesis. It is an amidine base used in organic synthesis. Further, it is used as a resin curing agent and polyurethane catalyst.

Applications
Le 1,5-Diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-ène est utilisé pour les réactions de déhydrohalogénation et les transpositions catalysées par les bases dans la synthèse organique. C’est une base amidine utilisée dans la synthèse organique. De plus, il est utilisé comme agent de durcissement de la résine et catalyseur en polyuréthane.
