1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethyl sulfate is an ionic liquid having free form chloride used as an alternative to the corresponding halide salts in metathesis reactions to prepare other ionic liquids including 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate. It is also utilized in the study of layering and shear properties of ionic liquid between nano-films and mica surfaces.

Applications
Le sulfate de 1-éthyl-3-méthyllimidazolium et d’éthyle est un liquide ionique dont le chlorure sous forme libre est utilisé comme alternative aux sels d’halogénures correspondants dans les réactions de métathèse pour préparer d’autres liquides ioniques, y compris l’hexafluorophosphate de 1-butyl-3-méthylimidazolium. Il est également utilisé dans l’étude des propriétés de stratification et de cisaillement d’un liquide ionique entre les nano-films et les surfaces de mica.

Solubilité
Miscible avec de l’eau et de l’alcool.
