2,2?:5?,2??-Terthiophene undergoes electrochemical copolymerization along with carbazole and in sodium perchlorate/acetonitrile was reported. Electrochromic copolymer based on TTh and 3, 4-ethylenedioxythiophene has been reported. It acts as a monomer precursor for polythiophene and as a dopant for polycarbonate. It may function as a photosensitizer. It also exihibits antifungal activity.

Applications
Le 2,2′:5′,2′′-terthiophène subit une copolymérisation électrochimique avec carbazole et dans le perchlorate de sodium / l’acétonitrile. Un copolymère électrochrome à base de TTh et de 3, 4-éthylènedioxythiophène a été signalé. Il agit comme un précurseur de monomère pour le polythiophène et comme un dopant pour le polycarbonate. Il peut fonctionner comme un photosensibilisateur. Il inhibe également l’activité antifongique.

Insoluble dans l’eau.
