Description

2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-dioxan-5-one is used in the preparation of 2,2-dimethyl-[1,3]dioxan-5-ol by reducing with lithium aluminum hydride. It is also used in the annulation of bete-(hetero)aryl-alfa-nitro-alfa,beta-enals.

Applications
Le 2,2-diméthyl-1,3-dioxan-5-one est utilisé dans la préparation de 2,2-diméthyl-[1,3] dioxan-5-ol par réduction avec l’hydrure de lithium-aluminium. Il est également utilisé dans l’annulation de bêta-(hetero)aryl-alfa-nitro-alfa, bêta-énals.
