Applications
La 2,3,5,6-tétraméthylpyrazine est un composé anti-inflammatoire isolé du natto alimentaire fermenté. Elle a démontré une activité nootropique in vivo chez le rat. Elle est utile dans le traitement de plusieurs troubles tels que l’asthme, l’insuffisance cardiaque, la rhinite et l’incontinence urinaire. C’est un ingrédient aromatisant du tabac. Elle forme un cocrystal avec l’acide 4-hydroxybenzoïque qui présente un polymorphisme synthon supramoléculaire.
