Description

Widely used as antioxidant in fuels, lubricants and polymers. Employed as a synthetic intermediate for the production of higher molecular weight phenolic antioxidants. Used as an oxidation inhibitor and stabilizer (e.g. for fuel, oil and gasoline) and also used in plastics and rubber. Also applied as an intermediate and an antioxidant in aviation gasoline.

Applications
Largement utilisé comme antioxydant dans les carburants, les lubrifiants et les polymères. Utilisé comme intermédiaire synthétique pour la production d’antioxydants phénoliques de poids moléculaire plus élevé. Utilisé comme inhibiteur et stabilisateur d’oxydation (p. ex. : pour le carburant, l’huile et l’essence). Il est également utilisé dans les plastiques et le caoutchouc. Également utilisé comme intermédiaire et antioxydant dans l’essence d’aviation.

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’eau à 20°C 0,003 g/l. La solubilité dans le méthanol est presque transparente.

Remarques
Conserver à l’écart des agents oxydants forts. Gardez le récipient bien fermé et placez-le dans un endroit frais, sec et bien ventilé.
