2,7-Naphthalenediol is a reagent used in the preparation of monomers of high carbon materials. Also used in the synthesis of splitomicin analogues. Used as Starting material for the synthesis of sulfonic acids and divinylnaphthalenes. It is also used in making dyes, pigments, fluorescent whiteners, tanning agents, antioxidants, and antiseptics.

Applications
Le 2,7-naphtalènediol est un réactif utilisé dans la préparation de monomères de matériaux à haute teneur en carbone. Également utilisé dans la synthèse d’analogues de la splitomicine. Utilisé comme matériau de départ pour la synthèse des acides sulfoniques et des divinylnaphtalènes. Il est également utilisé dans la fabrication de colorants, de pigments, de colorants fluorescents, d’agents de tannage, d’antioxydants et d’antiseptiques.
