2-(Chloromethyl)pyridine hydrochloride was used as reagent in base catalyzed alkylation of p-tert-butylcalix[6]arene and p-tert-butylcalix[5]arene in DMF. It was used in the synthesis of Gd3+ diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid bisamide complex, a Zn2+-sensitive magnetic resonance imaging contrast agent.

Applications
Le chlorhydrate de pyridine 2-(chlorométhyl)a été utilisé comme réactif dans l’alkylation catalysée par la base du p-tert-butylcalix[6]arène et du p-tert-butylcalix[5]arène dans le DMF. Il a été utilisé dans la synthèse du complexe de bisamide acide Gd3 + diéthylènetriaminepentaacétique, un agent de contraste d’imagerie par résonance magnétique sensible au Zn2 +.

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’eau, l’acétone (10 à 50 mg/ml) et l’éthanol à 95 % (100 mg/ml).

Remarques
Stockage hygroscopique dans un gaz inerte. Entreposer à l’écart des agents oxydants forts. Garder le récipient bien fermé. Stocker dans des conditions fraîches et sèches et dans des récipients bien scellés.
