It is a caffeine metabolite which showed high antioxidant activity. It is a very sensitive biomarker for the consumption of relatively small amount of coffee. an be used to inhibit prostaglandin E(2) production.

Applications
C’est un métabolite de la caféine qui a montré une activité antioxydante élevée. Il s’agit d’un biomarqueur très sensible pour la consommation d’une quantité relativement faible de café. Il est utilisé pour inhiber la production de prostaglandine E(2).

Soluble dans le diméthylsulfoxyde et le méthanol.
