3,5-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazole is combined with Chromium(VI)­ oxide, is a valuable reagent for oxidation of primary and secondary alcohols to carbonyl compounds. It reacts with malonic esters gives a family of cross-conjugated monomeric betaines. It is a common reagent for the preparation of pyrazolato ligated complexes. It is also used to prepare N-1-substituted derivatives having antibacterial activity.

Applications
Le 3,5-Diméthyl-1H-pyrazole est associé à l’oxyde de chrome(VI), un réactif précieux pour l’oxydation des alcools primaires et secondaires en composés carbonylés. Il réagit avec les esters maloniques et produit une famille de bétaïnes monomériques conjugués. Il s’agit d’un réactif commun pour la préparation de complexes ligaturés par pyrazolato. Il est également utilisé pour préparer des dérivés N-1 substitués ayant une activité antibactérienne.

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’eau et le méthanol à 0,1 g/ml.

Conserver à l’abri des oxydants. Stocker dans un lieu frais et sec dans des récipients bien scellés.
