4',7-Dihydroxyisoflavone is a phytoestrogen that is suggested to play a role in preventing hormone-induced cancers. It protects against oxidative damage in liver cells induced by 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA). Catalase and superoxide dismutase activity, down-regulated by DMBA, was restored by daidzein.

Applications
La 4′,7-dihydroxyisoflavone est un phytoestrogène qui est censé jouer un rôle dans la prévention des cancers induits par les hormones. Elle protège contre les dommages oxydatifs dans les cellules hépatiques induites par le 7,12-diméthylbenz[a]anthracène (DMBA). L’activité de la catalase et de la superoxyde dismutase, régulée par le DMBA, a été restaurée par la daidzéine.

Solubilité
Insoluble dans l’eau. Soluble dans le DMSO (25 mg/ml), l’éthanol (2 mg/ml), le DMF (10 mg/ml) et 1:10 DMSO:PBS (pH7,2) (0,15 mg/ml).

Remarques
Stable dans les conditions de stockage recommandées. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants et la chaleur.
