Description

4-Methylumbelliferone is used in the determination of nitric acid and as a standard for fluorometric determination of enzyme activity. It is also used in bile therapy.

Applications
La 4-méthylumbelliférone est utilisée dans la détermination de l’acide nitrique et en tant qu’étalon pour la détermination fluorométrique de l’activité enzymatique. Elle est également utilisée dans la thérapie biliaire.

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’alcool. Insoluble dans l’eau froide. Soluble dans l’acide acétique, l’alcali et l’hydroxyde d’ammonium. Légèrement soluble dans l’eau chaude, le chloroforme et l’éther diéthylique.

Remarques
Stocker dans un endroit frais. Incompatible avec les bases fortes et les agents oxydants forts.
