Allylmagnesium chloride has been used in a study of the nucleophilic ring-opening of 2-methyleneaziridines to imines and subsequent conversion to 5,5?-disubstituted hydantoins. It is also used as a reagent for the introduction of the allyl group.

Applications
Le chlorure d’Allylmagnésium a été utilisé dans une étude de l’ouverture des cycles nucléophiles de 2-méthylèneaziridines en imines et de la conversion subséquente en 5,5′-hydantoines disubstituées. Il est également utilisé comme réactif pour l’introduction du groupe allyle.
