Recombinant Protein

For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 μL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase. This ANKK1 recombinant human protein (full length) was expressed in insect cells. The recombinant full length ANKK1 can be used in a number of different applications, but has been specifically validated for use with our LanthaScreen™ Kinase binding assay technology to identify novel kinase inhibitors. ANKK1 recombinant human protein is also available in our SelectScreen™ Kinase Profiling Service. ANKK1 serine/threonine kinase is a member of the RIPK family and is closely linked to the DRD2 gene. ANKK1 is closely linked to DRD2 gene on chr 11, and a well studied restriction fragment length polymorphism designated TaqIA, was originally associated with the DRD2 gene, however, later was determined to be located in exon 8 of ANKK1 gene, where it causes a nonconservative amino acid substitution. It is not clear if ANKK1 plays any role in neuropsychiatric disorders previously associated with Taq1A RFLP.
