It is used as a reagent for the determination of copper. It acts as an exciton blocking barrier which prohibits excitons diffusion process towards the Al electrode otherwise being quenched. It is the most commonly used buffer layer between acceptor and cathode layer.

Applications
Elle est utilisée comme réactif pour la détermination du cuivre. Elle agit comme une barrière de blocage d’excitons qui interdit le processus de diffusion des excitons vers l’électrode Al étant autrement absorbée. Il s’agit de la couche tampon la plus couramment utilisée entre l’accepteur et la couche cathode.

Solubilité
Soluble dans le méthanol (36 mg/100 ml), l’éthanol, le 2-propanol, le benzène et l’acétone. Partiellement miscible avec l’eau.

Remarques
Stocker au frais et au sec dans un contenant scellé. Conserver à l’abri des oxydants.
