Blue Tetrazolium chloride is useful in the prepartion of DNA cation complexes and immunoadsorbents for anti-DNA antibodies. It is used in assay of reducing sugars. In combination with 4-nitrocatechol, tetrazolium blue chloride forms a ternary complex with molybdenum(VI) for extraction and spectrophotometric determination of molybdenum.

Applications
Le chlorure de tétrazolium bleu est utile dans la préparation de complexes de cations d’ADN et d’immunoadsorbants pour les anticorps anti-ADN. Il est utilisé dans le dosage des sucres réducteurs. En association avec le 4-nitrocatéchol, le chlorure bleu de tétrazolium forme un complexe ternaire avec le molybdène(VI) pour l’extraction et la détermination spectrophotométrique du molybdène.

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’eau chaude (5 mg/ml), le méthanol (50 mg/ml), l’éthanol et le chloroforme. Insoluble dans l’acétone.

Remarques
Stable dans les conditions de stockage recommandées. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants.
