Borane-tert-butylamine complex is used in stereoselective reduction of a steroidal ketone and for a review of amine boranes as selective reducing and hydroborating agents. It is also used as strong co-reducing agent in the syntheses of copper (I) oxide nanoparticles, diphosphine-protected gold nanocluster and 4-acetoxycinnamyl alcohols.

Applications
Le complexe borane-tert-butylamine sert à la réduction stéréosélective d’une cétone stéroïdale et à l’examen des boranes d’amine en tant qu’agents réducteurs sélectifs et hydroborateurs. Il sert également d’agent co-réducteur puissant dans les synthèses de nanoparticules d’oxyde de cuivre (I), de nanocluster d’or protégé par la diphosphine et d’alcools de 4-acétoxycinnamyle.

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’eau (27 g/l à 20°C) et dans le méthanol.

Remarques
Stockez-le dans un endroit frais. Garder le récipient bien fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants et les acides.
