Gibco™ CTS™ OpTmizer™ Pro SFM, no phenol red

Gibco CTS OpTmizer Pro SFM is a novel serum-free medium (SFM) developed for the growth and expansion of human T lymphocytes (e.g., CD4+, CD8+, polyclonal, or antigen-specific) used in allogeneic cell therapies. This medium improves central memory phenotype and cell growth by shifting the cell’s metabolism. The result is a larger population of central memory cells in a shorter period of time.

CTS OpTmizer Pro SFM consists of CTS OpTmizer Pro Basal Medium and CTS OpTmizer Supplement, which are mixed together prior to use.

CTS OpTmizer Pro SFM in 5 L and 10 L bag format is compatible with closed-system processing for media preparation and integration to standard cell therapy equipment, including CTS devices (Xenon, Rotea, and DynaCellect).

Enhanced design and compatibility
The supplement component is now in a bag with a weldable PVC line, allowing for closed-system mixing with the CTS OpTmizer Pro basal medium bag. This feature, along with larger 5 L and 10 L basal medium sizes, addresses manufacturers’ need for scale, efficiency, and contamination risk mitigation.

Use of Thermo Scientific Aegis5-14 Film allows compatibility with closed systems. This film is a five-layer cast film produced in a cGMP facility. The outer layer is a polyester elastomer coextruded with an ethyl vinyl alcohol (EVOH) barrier layer and an ultra-low density polyethylene product contact layer. Aegis5-14 Film is manufactured using no animal derived components.
