Intermédiaire dans la synthèse de la phosphatidylcholine ; également inhibiteur de phospholipase

Cytidine-5'-diphosphocholine sodium salt hydrate acts as a neuroprotective agent in situations of hypoxia and ischemia. It is used as biosynthetic intermediate of membrane phospholipids. It is a cerebral vasodilator and inhibits PLA2 activation.

Applications
L’hydrate de sel de sodium cytidine-5′-diphosphocholine agit comme agent neuroprotecteur dans les situations d’hypoxie et d’ischémie. Il est utilisé comme intermédiaire biosynthétique des phospholipides membranaires. Il s’agit d’un vasodilatateur cérébral et inhibe l’activation de la PLA2.
