1-Deamino-8-D-arginine vasopressin makes a new pharmacological approach to the management of haemophilia and von Willebrand's disease. A novel nonenzymatic pathway for the generation of nitric oxide is by the reaction of hydrogen peroxide and d- or l-arginine.

Applications
La 1-désamino-8-D-arginine vasopressine permet une nouvelle approche pharmacologique de la prise en charge de l’hémophilie et de la maladie de von Willebrand. La réaction du peroxyde d’hydrogène et de la D-arginine ou L-arginine constitue une nouvelle voie non enzymatique pour la génération d’oxyde nitrique.
