Decahydronaphthalene is widely used as an industrial solvent for resins and fuel additives. It is a substitute for turpentine in lacquers, shoe polishes and waxes.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.

Applications
Le décahydronaphtalène est largement utilisé comme solvant industriel pour les résines et les additifs de carburant. Il remplace la térébenthine dans les laques, les cirages pour chaussures et les cires.

Solubilité
Miscible avec l’acétone, le benzène, l’éther, le méthanol, l’aniline, la décaline, le chloroforme, le butanol et l’éthanol. Immiscible avec l’eau.

Remarques
Stockez-le dans un endroit frais. Sensible à l’air, à la lumière et à la chaleur. La chaleur et la lumière accélèrent la formation de peroxyde. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants.
