Dimethylglyoxime is a well known reagent in analytical chemistry. It is used for the qualitative and quantitative determination of nickel by gravimetric analysis. It also finds application in the separation of palladium from tin, gold, rhodium and iridium. It is also useful in the detection of bismuth.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. Applications
Le diméthylglyoxime est un réactif bien connu en chimie analytique. Il est utilisé pour la détermination qualitative et quantitative du nickel par analyse gravimétrique. Il s’utilise aussi dans la séparation du palladium de l’étain, de l’or, du rhodium et de l’iridium. Il est également utile dans la détection du bismuth.

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’alcool, l’éther et les solutions d’alcalis. Insoluble dans l’eau.
