Description

Embelin is an agonist for GPR84 and an inhibitor for XIAP. Provided as 10mg of dry powder.

Embelin is a natural cell-permeable benzoquinone inhibitor of the X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis (XIAP) protein, acting as an anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic. Activates caspases, blocks growth, and promotes apoptosis in tumor cells with high levels of XIAP. Also prevents XIAP- and caspase-dependent inflammation, and inhibits IKK, preventing NF-kB activation. Also acts as an agonist for GPR84. Provided as 10mg of dry powder.
