Ethyl palmitate acts as a lubricant on the skin’s surfaces in order to get a soft and smooth appearance. It increases cytosolic Ca2+ concentration leading to pancreatic acinar cell injury due to excessive consumption of ethanol.

Applications
Le palmitate d’éthyle agit comme un lubrifiant sur les surfaces de la peau pour lui donner une apparence douce et lisse. Il augmente la concentration de Ca2+ cytosolique conduisant à des lésions acinales pancréatiques dues à une consommation excessive d’éthanol.

Solubilité
Miscible à l’éthanol, au diméthylsulfoxyde, au chloroforme et à l’acétate d’éthyle. Immiscible avec l’eau.

Remarques
Stockez-le dans un endroit frais. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts.
