Fluorescein isothiocyanate is used as fluorescent labeling reagent for proteins and for rapid identification of pathogens in fluorescent antibody technique. It is also used as a reagent for microsequencing of proteins and peptides (HPLC). On celite it is used for the labeling of fibrinogen.

Applications
L’isothiocyanate de fluorescéine est utilisé comme réactif de marquage fluorescent pour les protéines et d’identification rapide des pathogènes avec la technique des anticorps fluorescents. Il est également utilisé comme réactif pour le microséquençage des protéines et des peptides (HPLC). Sur la célite, il est utilisé pour le marquage du fibrinogène.

Solubilité
Légèrement soluble dans le DMSO, l’éthanol, le méthanol DMF et l’acétone
