The GeneScan 600 LIZ Size Standard v2.0 Dx is a five dye-;labeled, high-density size standard for the reproducible sizing of fragment analysis data. This product can be used as a traditional size standard on all Applied Biosystems capillary electrophoresis systems. Use this size standard for fragments between 20 and 600 bp. The standard contains 36 LIZ dye-labeled, single-stranded DNA fragments. Since the standard is labeled with the fifth dye, users can genotype a greater number of markers in a given lane, compared to the four-dye system.
Size fragments in the 20–600 nucleotides range
GeneScan 600 LIZ Size Standard v2.0 Dx is designed for sizing DNA fragments in the 20–600 nucleotides range and provides 36 single-stranded, labeled fragments of: 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 114, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200, 214, 220, 240, 250, 260, 280, 300, 314, 320, 340, 360, 380, 400, 414, 420, 440, 460, 480, 500, 514, 520, 540, 560, 580, and 600 bp. The sizing curve generated from fragments make the GeneScan 600 LIZ Size Standard v2.0 Dx ideal for use in a variety of fragment analysis applications such as analysis of microsatellites and fragment length polymorphisms as well as in relative fluorescent quantitation. Each of the DNA fragments is labeled with the LIZ fluorophore, which results in a single peak when run under denaturing conditions. With the fifth dye, LIZ, your marker fragments can be labeled with FAM, VIC, NED, or PET dye.
