Myricetin is used as an antioxidant. It is a cell-permeable flavonoid used in inflammatory, diabetes, and cancer studies. It is effective in protecting neurons against oxidative stresses. Further, it inhibits yeast alfa-glucosidase,1 glyoxalase I in vitro and bovine milk xanthine oxidase.

Applications
La myricétine est utilisée comme antioxydant. Il s’agit d’un flavonoïde perméable aux cellules utilisé dans les études inflammatoires, sur le diabète et sur le cancer. Il est efficace pour protéger les neurones contre les contraintes oxydatives. De plus, il inhibe la levure alfa-glucosidase,1 glyoxalase I in vitro et la xanthine oxydase de lait de vache.

Solubilité
Soluble dans le diméthylsulfoxyde, le diméthylformamide et l’éthanol. Insoluble dans l’eau.  

Remarques
Stocker dans un endroit frais. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts.
