Indicator for complexometric titration of Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba. It is used as an alkaline earth metal ion indicator. Suggested to be colorless at pH 11, but turns pink in the presence of alkaline earth metals. Also utilized in an auto analyzer to determine serum calcium.

Applications
Indicateur de titration complexométrique de Mg, Ca, Sr et Ba. Il est utilisé comme indicateur d’ions métalliques alcalins. Il est suggéré d’être incolore à pH 11, mais il devient rose en présence de métaux alcalins de la terre. Également utilisé dans un analyseur automatique pour déterminer le calcium sérique.

Solubilité
Soluble dans le NaOH (50 mg/ml), l’ammoniac aqueux et les solvants organiques. Insoluble dans l’eau.

Remarques
Conserver à l’écart des agents oxydants forts. Garder le récipient hermétiquement fermé. Stocker dans des conditions fraîches et sèches et dans des récipients bien scellés.
