1,2-Bis(bromomethyl)benzene is used in the synthesis of isothioureas involved in the inhibition of human nitric oxide synthases. Also used in the synthesis of tridentate carbene ligands.

Applications
Le 1,2-Bis(bromométhyl)benzène est utilisé dans la synthèse des isothiourées impliquées dans l’inhibition des synthases de l’oxyde nitrique humain. Également utilisé dans la synthèse de ligands carbènes tridentés.

Solubilité
La solubilité dans le toluène est presque transparente et l’éthanol. Insoluble dans l’eau.
