The Thermo Scientific PCR Plate, 96-well, low profile, non-skirted, Sustain Series, has shorter wells than the standard profile plate, decreasing the 'dead space' between the heated lid of the thermal cycler and the sample.

The Thermo Scientific PCR Plate, 96-well, low profile, non-skirted, Sustain Series, has shorter wells than the standard profile plate (AB-0600SS), decreasing the 'dead space' between the heated lid of the thermal cycler and the sample. This eliminates condensation on the side wall of the tube, preventing reduction in PCR volume and increasing the efficiency of the reaction. These low-profile products are especially recommended for use with reaction volumes below 20 μL.

This greener approach is equivalent to 1.96X lower CO2 equivalent emissions per kg of biobased polypropylene resin compared to traditional fossil fuel-based polypropylene resin.
