It is used as an initiator in the presence of fac-[Ir(ppy) 3 for the photoredox catalyst activated CRP of methacrylates in visible light-induced controlled radical polymerization of methacrylates with perfluoroalkyl iodide.

Applications
Il est utilisé comme un initiateur en présence de fac-[Ir(ppy) 3 pour la CRP de méthacrylates activée par le catalyseur photorédox dans la polymérisation radicalaire contrôlée induite par la lumière visible de méthacrylates avec de l’iodure de perfluoroalkyle.
