Description
Ponceau S dye is used to make a stain for rapid reversible staining of protein bands on nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes (Western blots) and also for staining protein on cellulose acetate membranes. It is also suitable for electrophoresis, azo dye for reversible protein staining. This stain can also be used as a fiducial marker in mass spectrometric imaging.

Le colorant Ponceau S est utilisé pour effectuer une coloration rapide réversible des bandes protéiques sur les membranes en nitrocellulose ou en PVDF (transferts Western) et aussi pour la coloration des protéines sur les membranes en acétate de cellulose. Il convient également à l’électrophorèse, au colorant azo pour la coloration réversible des protéines. Cette coloration peut également être utilisée comme marqueur de terrain dans l’imagerie par spectrométrie de masse.
Solubilité
Soluble dans l’eau (10 g/l) à 20°C. Insoluble dans l’éther.
Remarques
Stockez-le dans un endroit frais. Garder le récipient bien fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Tenir à l’écart des agents oxydants forts de fom.
