Potassium formate acts as an intermediate in the formate potash process for the production of potassium. It is a deicing salt for used on roads. It serves as a corrosion inhibitor, an anti-scaling agent, a functional fluid, a processing aid and used in petroleum production.

Le formate de potassium agit comme intermédiaire dans le procédé de formate de potasse pour la production de potassium. Il s’agit d’un sel de déglaçage utilisé sur les routes. Remarques
Hygroscopique. Gardez le récipient hermétiquement fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts.
