For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 μL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase. The purified recombinant full-length protein can be used in a number of different applications, but it has been specifically validated for use with both the LanthaScreen™ & Z'-LYTE™ Assay technologies to identify novel kinase inhibitors. RPS6KA2 (RSK3) serine/threonine kinase is a member of the ribosomal S6 kinase (RSK) family. It is believed that RPS6KA2 is a signal-transducing intermediate in the cellular response to several growth factors. It is found in many tissues, but in higher levels in lung and skeletal muscle. The p90 ribosomal S6 kinases (RSK)1-4 are downstream members of the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK)/MAPK cascade. The loss of RSK2 activity in humans leads to Coffin-Lowry syndrome, which is characterized by mental retardation and growth deficits and may have a tonic regulation on G-protein coupled signaling.
