Sulfolane is used as an industrial solvent utilized for the extraction of aromatic hydrocarbons from hydrocarbon mixtures and to purify natural gas. Further, it is used in refineries and the petrochemical industry.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. Applications
Le sulfolane est utilisé comme solvant industriel utilisé pour l’extraction d’hydrocarbures aromatiques à partir de mélanges d’hydrocarbures et pour purifier le gaz naturel. Il est également utilisé dans les raffineries et l’industrie pétrochimique.

Solubilité
Miscible à l’alcool, l’eau, l’acétone, au toluène et aux acides minéraux dilués. Légèrement miscible aux octanes, aux oléfines et aux naphthènes.
