Description
Phase transfer catalyst Tetra-n-butylammonium bromide is used as a phase transfer catalyst for the preparation of lactones by cyclization of potassium salt of μ-bromocarboxylic acids and beta-lactones from beta-bromoacid by cyclization. It is also involved in the Curtius rearrangement, N-alkylation of aromatic carboxamides. It plays an important role as an ionic liquid in the regioselective O-alkylation reactions. It is also used in the preparation of polymer solar cells and single component green-light emitting electrochemical cells.

Catalyseur de transfert de phase Le bromure de tétra-n-butylammonium est utilisé comme catalyseur de transfert de phase pour la préparation des lactones par cyclisation du sel de potassium des acides µ ; -bromocarboxyliques et bêta-lactones à partir du bêta-bromoacide par cyclisation. Il est également impliqué dans le réarrangement de Curtius, la N-alkylation des carboxamides aromatiques. Il joue un rôle important en tant que liquide ionique dans les réactions d’O-alkylation régiosélective. Il est également utilisé dans la préparation de cellules solaires polymères et de cellules électrochimiques émettant une lumière verte à un composant.

Remarques
Hygroscopique. Gardez le récipient hermétiquement fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts.
