Tetra-n-butylammonium hexafluorophosphate is used as a supporting electrolyte in nonaqueous electrochemistry. It is chemically inert, thereby allowing the usage as an inert electrolyte with potential range. It enhances the performance of single-layer organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Applications
L’hexafluorophosphate de tétra-n-butylammonium est utilisé comme électrolyte de support dans l’électrochimie non aqueuse. Il est chimiquement inerte, permettant ainsi l’utilisation comme électrolyte inerte avec une plage de potentiel. Il améliore les performances des diodes électroluminescentes organiques à couche unique (OLED).

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’acétone, l’acétonitrile et le tétrahydrofurane.

Remarques
Hygroscopique. Gardez le récipient hermétiquement fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts.
