It is used as a mobile phase in high performance liquid chromatographic analysis and in the quantitation of olanzapine clozapine and N-desmethylclozapine. It acts as a supporting electrolyte in the electrochemical reduction of electrochemical reduction of 1-bromodecanr, 1-iododecane,2-iodooctane and 2-bromooctane at mercury cathodes.
