Description
Thioacetamide is used in qualitative inorganic analysis as an in-situ source for sulfide ions. It is used in analytical chemistry as a source of hydrogen sulfide. It is an additive in enantioselective reduction of beta-keto esters with immobilized bakers yeast. It is also used as a vulcanizing agent of polymer and a crosslinking agent.

Le thioacétamide est utilisé dans l’analyse qualitative de composés inorganiques comme source in situ pour les ions sulfurés. Il est utilisé en chimie analytique comme source de sulfure d’hydrogène. Il s’agit d’un additif dans la réduction énantiosélective des esters bêta-céto avec la levure de boulangerie immobilisée. Il est également utilisé comme agent vulcanisant du polymère et comme agent de réticulation.
Solubilité
Soluble dans l’éthanol, le benzène et l’éther de pétrole. Légèrement soluble dans l’eau et l’éther.
Remarques
Incompatible avec les agents oxydants puissants, les acides forts et les bases fortes.
