Triethyl 4-phosphonocrotonate is used as a reactant for iminodipropionic acid as a leaving group for DNA polymerization by HIV-1 reverse transcriptase, orally bioavailable GPR40 agonist synthesis, preparation of mGlu4R agonists and synthesis of fluoroketone inhibitors of group VIA calcium-independent phospholipase A2.

Le triéthyl 4-phosphonocrotonate est utilisé comme réactif pour l’acide iminodipropionique comme groupe partant pour la polymérisation de l’ADN par la transcriptase inverse du VIH-1, la synthèse d’agonistes de GPR40 biodisponibles par voie orale, la préparation d’agonistes de mGlu4R et la synthèse d’inhibiteurs de la fluorocétone de la phospholipase A2 indépendante du calcium de groupe VIA.
