TRIS-buffered saline (TBS, 20X), with 2% Tween 20 is used as a wash buffer and for sample preparation in general immunoassay applications, Tween 20 reduces nonspecific binding and protein:protein interactions.TBS is often used for diluting secondary antibodies or streptavidin-AP conjugate. TBS-Tween 20 is often used for washing steps.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. Applications
La solution saline tamponnée au TRIS (TBS, 20X) avec 2 % de Tween 20 est utilisée comme tampon de lavage et pour la préparation d’échantillons dans les applications d’immunoessais générales. Le Tween 20 réduit la liaison non spécifique et les interactions entre les protéines. La solution TBS est souvent utilisée pour dilater les anticorps secondaires ou le conjugué streptavidine-AP.
