Crystal Violet is used as an acid-base indicator, alcohol denaturant, biological stain, textile dye, and an indicator for copper salts. It is a component of gram staining in microorganisms and cell lines.

Applications
Le cristal violet est utilisé comme indicateur d’acide-base, alcool dénaturé, coloration biologique, colorant textile et comme indicateur des sels de cuivre. Il s’agit d’un composant de coloration de Gram dans les micro-organismes et les lignées cellulaires.

Solubilité
Miscible avec de l’eau et du chloroforme. Partiellement miscible avec de l’alcool et du glycérol.

Remarques
Incompatible avec les acides, les agents oxydants, les métaux alcalins, les agents oxydants forts, l’ammoniac, les chlorures d’acides, les anhydrides d’acides, les agents réducteurs et les peroxydes.
