Cyclopamine, is used as a hedgehog [Hh] signaling pathway and Smo inhibitor. It depletes stem-like cancer cells in glioblastoma and blocks tumor engraftment. Can also be used to induce differentiation of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) into hormone-expressing endocrine cells.

Applications
La cyclopamine est utilisée comme voie de signalisation Hedgehog [Hh] et inhibiteur du gène SMO. Elle appauvrit les cellules-souches cancéreuses dans le glioblastome et bloque le greffage tumoral. Elle peut également être utilisée pour induire une différenciation des cellules souches embryonnaires humaines (hESC) en cellules endocriniennes à expression hormonale.

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’éthanol (tiède à 5 mg/ml), le DMSO (4 mg/ml), le DMF (10 mg/ml), le chlorure de méthylène, le chloroforme, le méthanol (7 mg/ml) et le benzène.

Remarques
Stockez-le dans un endroit frais. Garder le récipient bien fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Température de stockage recommandée : 2-8°C. Tenir à l’écart des agents oxydants forts.
