Description

It is used for the solubilization and reconstitution of membrane-bound proteins. The high critical micelle concentration (0.7%) of n-octylglucoside facilitates ready removal from final protein extracts by dialysis or gel filtration. n-Octylglucoside can be used in 2D electrophoresis and to improve selectivity of immunoprecipitation of phosphotyrosine modified proteins. Also useful in 2D electrophoresis and in an immunoprecipitation buffer for the immunopurification of phospho-tyrosine peptides.

Applications
Il est utilisé pour la solubilisation et la reconstitution des protéines membranaires. La concentration micellaire critique (0,7 %) du n-octylglucoside facilite l’élimination des extraits protéiques finaux par dialyse ou filtration sur gel. Le n-octylglucoside peut être utilisé dans 2l’électrophorèse D et pour améliorer la sélectivité de l’immunoprécipitation des protéines modifiées de la phosphotyrosine. Également utile dans l’électrophorèse 2D et dans un tampon d’immunoprécipitation pour l’immunopurification des peptides de la phosphotyrosine.

Solubilité
Soluble dans le DMSO, le méthanol et l’eau.

Remarques
Hygroscopique. Conserver à l’écart de l’eau / de l’humidité et des agents oxydants. Gardez le récipient bien fermé et placez-le dans un endroit frais, sec et bien ventilé. Protège de la chaleur. Stocker sous un gaz inerte. Conserver au réfrigérateur à -20°C.
