Silicon carbide powder is used for its hardness in abrasive machining processes such as grinding, honing, water-jet cutting and sandblasting. And is also used as a support and shelving material in high temperature kilns such as for firing ceramics, glass fusing, or glass casting.

Applications
La poudre de carbure de silicium est utilisée pour sa dureté dans les procédés d’usinage abrasifs tels que le broyage, l’affûtage, le coupage au jet d’eau et le sablage. Et est également utilisé comme matériau de support et d’étagères dans des fours à haute température tels que pour la cuisson de la céramique, la fusion du verre ou le coulage du verre.
