For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 μL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase. This TESK1 recombinant human protein (full length) was expressed in insect cells. TESK1 recombinant human protein is also available in our SelectScreen™ Kinase Profiling Service. TESK1 serine/threonine kinase or testis-specific kinase 1 contains an N-terminal protein kinase domain and a C-terminal proline-rich domain which is most closely related to those of the LIM motif-containing protein kinases (LIMKs). TESK1 protein can phosphorylate myelin basic protein and histone in vitro and plays an important role during and after the meiotic phase of spermatogenesis. TESK1 is mainly expressed in testicular germ cells.
